Network engineering, in plain sight
SuperINET is a small open initiative that collects and republishes practical network engineering references, IETF documents and lightweight tools — without ads, sign-ups, or telemetry.
What you can find here
RFC Catalog
A curated index of relevant IETF RFCs grouped by topic — routing, transport, DNS, TLS — with short plain-English summaries.
Subnet Calculator
A minimal client-side calculator for IPv4/IPv6 subnetting, VLSM planning and quick CIDR math.
ASN Reference
A read-only lookup over public ASN registries with peering relationships, prefix counts and basic geolocation hints.
Protocol Glossary
Short, accurate definitions of terms used in BGP, OSPF, TCP, QUIC and modern network stacks — useful for onboarding new engineers.
Status
The project is in early stages — most tools are still being polished before public release. Source code will be published incrementally on our self-hosted Git instance.
Principles
- Static first. Most pages are plain HTML — no databases, no tracking.
- Cite the source. Every claim links back to the original RFC or specification.
- No accounts. Everything that can be done client-side, is done client-side.
- Lean infrastructure. The whole site fits on a small VPS.
